Governed by the leafy surrounds our Yeronga kitchen provides a family of five with creature-comfort, a tranquil outlook and a genuine sense of place.

The street is home to some established mature trees which were highly considered during material selection. The joinery design had to work with the environment without compromising the overall amenity.  Access to the home is via a front yard which serves the family well throughout all seasons. Large bifold doors open up from the kitchen onto the front yard showcasing the seamless connection to the outdoor terrace, garden, and pool.

As a long term resident of the local surroundings our client wanted to keep to the feel of the existing home with elements of a modern twist. We discussed the environment around the home as well as her family dynamic.  A busy family of five required a space with functional storage and materials that would stand the test of time.  Our ultimate design style was Mid-century Modern.

Mid-century meets modern – this project demonstrates the potential of a heritage renovation that builds upon the past.

With features that include an appliance nook with pocket doors and LED strip lighting, pop down power points and a dedicated bar for Gin night ( if you are lucky enough to be invited!)

The colour palette plays bright white against earthy tones (a playful nod to the timber surrounds)
