Visit Our Kitchen Showroom
We like to think we have the best kitchen showroom in Brisbane, so drop in to take a look!
Sitting proud above Brisbane’s most expensive real estate, this townhouse now boasts a bold and bright fitout that slots perfectly into the gentrified locale it has been created in. The centre of the home – the kitchen – is celebrated by a fabulous chunk of New York marble adorning the island bench. The subtlety of the white cabinetry is pleasantly interrupted by black half-moon ‘luna’ handles, detailed by ‘chifley’ door profiles and highlighted by strip lighting. The streamlined organic forms throughout are adapted from mid-century characteristics of the Art Deco movement, a favourite style of the mature residents that occupy the space. As well as a nod to the Cloudland Ballroom that once stood in its place, curved bulkheads, rounded waterfall ends, a smoky mirror splashback and fluted glass overheads all contribute to the style. The illusion of a floating island created by the mirror kickboard not only lightens the weight of the island but enlarges the floor surface area for the eye. With all of the modern luxuries you would expect from an inner city residence, the kitchen is complete with ‘all the extras’ appliances and PITT cooking burners. An Lshape layout allows for ease of access to the butler’s pantry while still being very much separate from the main living – this appropriates the size of the kitchen in a small space. The project successfully overcame the archetype of a ‘typical’ townhouse floorplan by incorporating an extravagant amount of features in a small footprint that allows the occupants to feel like they have downsized without compromise. With a predominantly muted pallet, the Bowen Hills residence certainly makes a bold statement in a small space.
