Our clients approached us seeking a kitchen that would feel timeless yet bold, refined yet welcoming. With a strong appreciation for natural materials and clean lines, their vision was to create a functional space that felt architectural in its detailing and considered in every
finish.
The palette was to be modern and moody without feeling cold. They requested a high contrast look—something that would balance light timber elements with darker tones for a visually grounded and sophisticated outcome. Natural stone was a non-negotiable; it needed to be the hero material that introduced organic movement and texture throughout.
The island was to serve as the heart of the home, not only as a practical prep space but also as a sculptural centrepiece that would impress guests. Custom joinery was important to the clients, with particular attention given to handle design, storage functionality, and seamless integration of appliances. They were also keen to include features like a wine fridge, concealed appliance nook, and ambient lighting that would elevate the overall experience of the space.
Functionality and flow were just as critical as aesthetics. The layout had to work for day-to day family life while also adapting to entertaining. The overall feel needed to be calm, luxurious, and tailored—reflecting the clients’ personal style while standing the test of time.
