The Daisy Hill Residence is situated along the Springwood escarpment, with tranquil views of sunsets, as well as the surrounding treetops. This essence is reflected within the kitchen space, conveying a sense of lightness and energy throughout. The back wall of the kitchen is seamlessly streamlined in Casentino Beech doors, subtly integrating both the refrigerator and dishwashers. The Casentino Beech Woodmatt is also featured as a benchtop within the island bench. This material offers a sense of balance amongst the contrasting traditional style of the VJ Calcutta panelling and the industrial presence of the Sleek Concrete bench tops. The under mounted LED strip lighting is functional whilst not overpowering of the natural light that surrounds the space. Another notable lighting feature would be the timber pendant light that sits parallel with the island bench. The timber has been repurposed from the structural timber beams of original house, adding bespoke character to the space.
