Our Cornubia Residence is a bag full of surprises.

With forest views and a very easy going client, we knew from the start this project was going to be special. The trick to this design was finding a balance between a modernised kitchen that could be utilised by the whole family.

The ‘Heaviness’ of the dark cabinetry is offset by an abundance of natural light which pervades the space, the added touch of timber accents warm the surrounds.

Incorporating the client’s wishes of a modern contemporary space. This kitchen needed to function well as an everyday kitchen for our client and her busy household.

Zoned with two prominent working areas, the kitchen and pantry function both cohesively and separately.

The Kitchen is where the majority of the cooking and entertaining takes place. The kitchen island is fitted out with Gas PITT burners, a sink, and an instant Zip tap. Sitting on a mirror kick base, this gives the island a ‘floating’ look.

The expansive back bench is lit up with LED strip lighting and perfect for plating up and prep. For an added spark we integrated a secret Bluetooth lift up splashback to hide chocolate stashes from the kids. An integrated hidden door into the garage that blends perfectly with the fridge panels also boasts custom made handles to suit the melamine material of the kitchen.

The Butler’s Pantry which was designed to work as an operational space for benchtop appliances. A second sink was also incorporated during the designing stages to help with clean up. We raised the dishwasher from your standard floor height to assist with functionality and custom built a door into the pantry to match the kitchen.

The finished space is warm, bold and above all a grand family kitchen.
