A home that resonates with contemporary trends, incorporating soothing natural colours and a laid back feeling when staying at home has become part of our new habits.

A perfectly centred cooktop and sink are juxtaposed by an arrangement of overhead cupboards and open shelving that break this alignment in a pleasant and balanced way. The array is playful; it features timber look thick edge ‘frames’ to contain decorative objects that add to the kitchen’s personality.

The whole overheads configuration is suspended in between two large splashback windows to create the client’s desired wow factor. The ample light going through the windows and illuminating working areas contrasts with the rich blue featured wall in the living area.

A round element was introduced in the island to create an inviting feel, softening the sharp edges and sleek lines of the kitchen at the back. The positioning of the island, right in the middle of an open plan living area, makes a comfortable walking flow even more important, which is majorly achieved by the roundness of the ends.
